While I may be on vacation, I have been monitoring the site whenever I can. But despite being able to get online, I had to assign command to Commander Chorus Ba'real for the duration of my trip. Based on what I've seen, he has become a very competent leader and commander in his own right, quite the improvement since I first met him just under a year ago. His ability to write is very impressive and only surpassed by a very select few in this fleet, his ability to create a storyline and manage it is difficult to surpass.

Wow, what an encounter and what a good posting. I'm impressed, and I just know Admiral Smith will be just as shocked as I am with all this.

Here are some highlights:
- Rear admiral Descott with Kol the Borg
A Borg came on the screen, from an yet unknown race. It had what looked like a third eye, and long pointy ears. And as he... well... assuming it has gender... spoke, it was without the repeating voice of all the Borg on the background. "Greetings admiral, of the federation of planets. We have come for you. Prepare to be beamed over."

"Forgive me if I don't trust you off the bat, I've not had good experiences with the Collective, and though you don't sound like collective, that only makes me more suspicious." Admiral DeScott said. "However, I am a reasonable man, so if you will give me an explanation I will gladly consider a trip to your ship."
- Lieutenant Wycked and Gunnery Sergeant Jo'rek
Cin laughed outright, she could not help it , she had forgotten how arrogant the Romulans were, well this one especially. "Beaten me, you didn't have a prayer and you well know it and that's Lt. Wycked to you Sergeant." Cin hissed as they were drawing attention, something that neither of them needed, especially Cin after having that one mark on her record, 5 days in the brig, while Hanaj and his buddies got off with a warning.

"I spent 5 days in the brig, almost lost my commission because of you. So why are you here, As Assistant head of Security here on DS 76 and Head of Security on the USS Magma, I will be watching you like a hawk as I do not trust you as far as I can throw you." Rising and started to leave, when he took a hold of her hand and pulled her back down to her chair.

- Lieutenant Wycked and Commander Ba'real
Cin stood at her station and glanced at the control panel that she had set up to monitor the base, how could the shields be down, she had them 100 % operational when she boarded the Magma, she had at least 60% of the base operational, but they were under attack. Sitting down she began pushing buttons to see what Magma radar showed and there they were the pings of the rebels. This cannot be, being they were behind the base and the DeWolf had passed them she programmed all energies to the front weapons of the ship, opened a linc to the DeWolf if Chorus wanted to contact them and waited for orders.

"Cin get me an open communication with the DeWolf and the starbase. You monitor the pilots Pink." Chorus said.

Although I can keep going on like this... I won't its just too much.
So I've spoken to vice admiral Smith before his loa, and we decided it was time for some promotions.
So here goes:
Lieutenant Kayden Thomas, you are promoted to Lieutenant Commander for your leadership on the Magma after its captain (me) was taken down with an explosion.
Lieutenant Pink Skyblue, you are promoted to Lieutenant Commander for your help on this mission. Your entire being has had its effect, and starfleet noticed it.
Ensign Benjamin Poteat, you are promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade. And as highest ranking medical officer on the starbase, you can take on the role of Chief medical officer.
Second lieutenant Andrew Scott, you are hereby promoted to first lieutenant for your active posting and surprising sharpness.

Also, it has been discussed that:
Major Renna Darktalon can attain the position of Marine CO on the USS Magma, for leading quick assaults and lending in a helping hand on special covert missions. If you wish to accept then please message me.
Lieutenant Andrew Scott, when Major Renna accepts her offered position, you can climb up the ladder to be Marine CO. I shall let you know.

Then there are medals to be awarded... and although it is a very unique happening, I believe medals should be carried with honor and shown with pride.
